The use of Tenses (၂)

(2) Present Continuous Tense (am, is, are + V-ing)

*** ယခုလောလောဆယ် ပြောနေတဲ့အချိန်မှာ ဖြစ်ပျက်နေတဲ့ အဖြစ်အပျက်ကို ဖော်ပြရာတွင် သုံးသည်။

*** ရှည်ကြာတဲ့ ဖြစ်ဆဲ၊ လုပ်ဆဲ အကြောင်းအရာတွေကို ဖော်ပြရာတွင် သုံးသည်။

*** မဝေးတော့သည့် အနာဂတ်မှာ အမှန်တကယ် ပြုလုပ်မည်ကို ဖော်ပြရာတွင် အနာဂတ်အချိန်ပြပုဒ် (tomorrow, today, this evening, this week, next, soon, … ) စသည်တို့နှင့် တွဲသုံးသည်။

*** now, at present, at this moment (ဤအခါ၌), at the moment (ယခုအခါ), for the time being (အခုလောလောဆယ်မှာ), these days (ဒီရက်တွေမှာ), Look!, Listen!, nowadays, etc … စသည်တို့နှင့် တွဲသုံးလေ့ရှိသည်။

*** Continuous သုံးလေ့မရှိသော Verb များ ရှိသည်။ သူတို့ကို အမြဲတမ်းရော၊ လောလောဆယ်ပါ (Simple Present) သုံးရသည်။

*** see, seem (ထင်ရတယ်), hear, feel, smell, think, believe, want, wish, know, like, dislike, love, hate, mean, understand, need, prefer (ပိုကြိုက်တယ်), realise (သိနားလည်တယ်), suppose (ထင်တယ်), remember, belong (ပိုင်ဆိုင်တယ်), contain (ပါဝင်တယ်), consist (ပါဝင်တယ်), depend (မူတည်တယ်), own / possess(ပိုင်ဆိုင်တယ်),  … ၎င်းတို့ကို (Simple Present) သုံးရသည်။

*** have မှာ (စားသောက်တယ်၊ လုပ်ဆောင်တယ်) ဆိုသော အဓိပ္ပါယ်နှင့် (ပိုင်ဆိုင်တယ်) ဆိုသော အဓိပ္ပါယ်ဟူ၍ နှစ်မျိုးရှိသည်။ (ပိုင်ဆိုင်တယ်) ဆိုသော အဓိပ္ပါယ်နှင့် သုံးလျှင် (Continuous) မသုံးရ။

*** အနာဂတ်မှာ တစ်စုံတစ်ခု လုပ်မည်ဟု ဆုံးဖြတ်ပြီး ရည်ရွယ်ထားလျှင်၊ ကျိန်းသေဖြစ်မည်ဆိုလျှင် (am, is, are + going to + V₁ ………) ကို သုံးနိုင်သည်။

  Subject + am/ is/ are + V-ing

 

Eg: (1) I am reading the newspaper. (ငါ သတင်းစာ ဖတ်နေတယ်။) *** ဖတ်မပြီးသေး။

(2) My grandfather is leaving for Yangon tomorrow. (ငါ့အဖိုးက မနက်ဖြန် ရန်ကုန်သွားမှာ။)

(3) He is writing a short story now. (သူအခု ဝတ္ထုတိုတစ်ပုဒ်ရေးနေတာ။)

(4) It is going to rain soon. (မကြာမီ မိုးရွာတော့မှာ။)

(5) I am going to buy my car. (မကြာခင် ငါ ကားဝယ်တော့မှာ။)

(6) Where’s Thiri? She’s having a bath. (သီရိ ဘယ်မှာလဲ။ သူမ ရေချိုးနေတယ်။) *** မေးနေချိန်မှာ ရေချိုးနေဆဲဖြစ်တယ်။ (She had a bath. ဟု မသုံးရပါ။)

(7) I’m tired. I’m going to bed now. (ငါ ပင်ပန်းလိုက်တာ။ အခု သွားအိပ်တော့မယ်။) *** တကယ်သွားအိပ်တော့မည်ဟု ဆိုလိုသည်။ (I go to bed. ဟု မသုံးရပါ။)

(8) You are working hard today. (မင်း ဒီနေ့ တယ်ကြိုးစားပါလား။) ***(You work hard today. ဟု မသုံးရပါ။)

(9) They are going to Pyin Oo Lwin this week. (ဒီတစ်ပတ် ပြင်ဦးလွင်ကို သွားကြမယ်။) *** They go to Pyin Oo Lwin this week. ဟု မသုံးရပါ။

(10) Is your English getting better? (မင်း အင်္ဂလိပ်စာ/စကား ပိုကောင်းလာပြီလား။) *** Does your English getting better? ဟု မသုံးရပါ။

(11) The water is boiling. Can you turn off? (ရေနွေးဆူနေပြီ၊ ခလုတ်ပိတ်ပေးနိုင်မလား။) *** ပြောနေချိန်မှာ ရေနွေးဆူနေတုန်း။

(12) Listen to those people. What are they speaking? (အဲဒီလူတွေကို နားထောင်ကြည့်စမ်း။ သူတို့ ဘာတွေပြောနေကြတာလဲ။) *** လောလောဆယ် ပြောနေကြတုန်း။

(13) I am living with some friends until I find a flat. (တိုက်ခန်းရှာမတွေ့မီ သူငယ်ချင်းတချို့နဲ့ အတူနေတယ်။) *** အခုထိ နေတုန်း။

(14) Kaung Thuta is in Yangon. He is learning English speaking. (ကောင်းသုတက ရန်ကုန်မှာ။ သူ အင်္ဂလိပ်စကားပြော သင်နေတယ်။) *** အခုအချိန်ထိ သူ သင်ယူနေတုန်း။

(15) Please don’t make so much noise. I am working.(ကျေးဇူးပြု၍ သိပ်မဆူကြနဲ့ဟေ့။ ငါ အလုပ် လုပ်နေတယ်။) *** ပြောနေတဲ့အချိန်မှာ တကယ်အလုပ်လုပ်နေတုန်း။

(16) My mother is watching a channel of police now. (ငါ့အမေက ရဲလိုင်းတစ်ခု/ ရဲချဲနယ် တစ်ခု ကို အခုကြည့်နေတယ်။) *** ပြောနေတဲ့အချိန် ကြည့်နေတုန်း။

(17) We are waiting for board of directors. (ငါတို့ ဒါရိုက်တာ အဖွဲ့ဝင်တွေကို စောင့်နေကြတာ။) *** ပြောနေတဲ့အချိန် စောင့်နေကြတုန်း။

(18) They are taking lessons in Karate. (သူတို့ ကရာတေး သင်နေကြတယ်။) *** ပြောနေတဲ့အချိန် သင်နေကြတုန်း။

(19) I am teaching English Grammer. (ကျွန်တော် အင်္ဂလိပ်သဒ္ဒါ သင်ပေးနေတယ်။) *** ပြောနေတဲ့အချိန် သင်ပေးနေတုန်း။

(20) They all are watching Aung La Nsang on Youtube. (သူတို့အားလုံး Youtube ကနေ အောင်လအဲန်ဆန်းကို ကြည့်နေကြတယ်။) *** ပြောနေတဲ့အချိန် ကြည့်နေကြတုန်း။

(21) My family are watching Acaldamy Ceremony. (ကျွန်တော်တို့ မိသားစု အကယ်ဒမီပေးပွဲကို ကြည့်နေကြတယ်။) *** ပြောနေတဲ့အချိန် ကြည့်နေကြတုန်း။

(22) I am writing at the moment. (ကျွန်တော် အခု စာရေးနေတယ်။) *** ပြောနေတဲ့အချိန် ရေးနေတုန်း။

*** At the moment = now

(23) Please call back as we are meeting now. (အခု အစည်းအဝေးလုပ်နေလို့ နောက်ပြီးမှ ပြန်ခေါ်ပေးပါလား။) *** ပြောနေတဲ့အချိန် အစည်းအဝေးလုပ်နေတုန်း။

(24) It is raining outside now. (အခု အပြင်မှာမိုးရွာနေတယ်။) *** ပြောနေတဲ့အချိန်မှာ မိုးရွာနေတုန်း။

(25) I am studying to become a doctor now. (ကျွန်တော် ဆရာဝန်ဖြစ်ဖို့အတွက် အခုစာသင်နေ ပါတယ်။) *** အရှည်အကြာလုပ်နေရတဲ့ action ကို ဖော်ပြခြင်းဖြစ်သည်။

*** ယခု စာကြောင်းရှိ now သည် ဒီနေ့၊ ဒီရက်၊ ဒီလ၊ ဒီနှစ်၊ ဒီခေတ်၊ ဒီရာစုကို ရည်ညွှန်းသည်။

(26) My son is studying Japanese now. (ကျွန်တော့်သားက အခု ဂျပန်စကားပြော သင်နေတယ်။) *** လက်ရှိကာလမှာ စကားပြောသင်တန်းခန်းထဲ ရှိချင်မှ ရှိမည်ဖြစ်သော်လည်း သင်ယူနေဆဲကာလ ဖြစ်ကြောင်း ဖော်ပြခြင်းဖြစ်သည်။

(27) Ko Nyein Chan Thar is working in a bar until he finds a job in his field. (ကိုငြိမ်းချမ်းသာက သူကျွမ်းကျင်ရာနယ်ပယ်မှာ အလုပ်ရသည်အထိ ဘားတစ်ခုမှာ လုပ်နေပါတယ်။) *** လတ်တလောကာလမှာ လုပ်နေဆဲ ဖြစ်ကြောင်း ဖော်ပြခြင်းဖြစ်သည်။

(28) I am watching “ Fast X ” in this week. (ကျွန်တော် ဒီတစ်ပတ်အတွင်း Fast & Furious X ကို ကြည့်နေတယ်။) *** တစ်ပတ်အတွင်းမှာ ကြည့်နေဆဲ(အကြိမ်ကြိမ်) ဖြစ်ကြောင်း ဖော်ပြခြင်း ဖြစ်သည်။

(29) Ma Mee is working in a hotel. (မမီးက ဟိုတယ်တစ်လုံးမှာ အလုပ် လုပ်နေတယ်။) *** တစ်သက်လုံး လုပ်မယ်လို့ မရည်ရွယ်တဲ့အခါ သုံးသည်။ Present Continuous Tense ဖြစ်သည်။

Ma Mee works in a hotel. (မမီးက ဟိုတယ်တစ်လုံးမှာ အလုပ်လုပ်တယ်။) *** တစ်သက်လုံး လုပ်မယ်လို့ စိတ်ကူးထားတဲ့အခါ သုံးသည်။ Simple Present Tense ဖြစ်သည်။

(30) I am working in a bank at the moment. (ကျွန်တော် ဘဏ်တစ်ခုမှာ ခဏယာယီ လုပ်နေတယ်။) *** တစ်သက်လုံး လုပ်မယ် မရည်ရွယ်သော်လည်း လက်ရှိ လုပ်နေ။ Present Continuous Tense ဖြစ်သည်။

U Myint Aung works in a bank at the moment. (ဦးမြင့်အောင်သည် ဘဏ်တစ်ခုတွင် လက်ရှိလုပ်နေပါသည်။)*** တစ်သက်လုံး လုပ်မယ် ရည်ရွယ်ထား၊ လက်ရှိမှာလည်း လုပ်နေသည်။ Simple Present Tense ဖြစ်သည်။

 

 

*** Simple Present Tense ကို အမြဲအကြာကြီး လုပ်ရာတွင် သုံးသည်။

Present Continuous  Tense ကို ခဏယာယီ လုပ်ရာတွင် သုံးသည်။

ထူးအောင်ဝင့်
