• ကၽြန္ေတာ္တို႔ ပတ္ဝန္းက်င္မွာ warning ေခၚ သတိေပးခ်က္ေတြ ေနရာအနွံ႔ ရွိပါတယ္။ “သတိ၊ ေခြးကိုက္တတ္သည္။” “ကြမ္းတံေတြးမေထြးရ။” “ေခ်ာ္လဲတတ္သည္။” စသည္ျဖင့္ သတိေပး ဆိုင္းဘုတ္ေတြလုိမ်ိဳး အျပင္ သတင္းစာေတြထဲမွာ ဥပေဒအေၾကာင္းရ သတိေပး စာရွည္လိုမ်ိဳးေတြ လည္းရွိတတ္ပါသည္။ ယုတ္စြအဆံုး ကားဟြန္းတီးတာ၊ စက္ဘီး ဘဲလ္တီးတာေတြေတာင္ အသံနဲ႔ warning ေပးတာေတြ မဟုတ္ပါလားခင္ဗ်ား။ ဆိုလိုတာကေတာ့ လူေတြဟာ ေန႔စဥ္တစ္ခုခုေၾကာင့္ အခ်င္းခ်င္း ေန႔စဥ္ ပံုစံအမ်ိဳးမ်ိဳးနဲ႔ သတိေပးေနၾကတယ္ေပါ့။ အဲ့ဒီေတာ့ စကားနဲ႔ သတိေပးတာကို ဒီကေန႔ ေလ့လာ ၾကည့္လိုက္ရေအာင္ေနာ္။ အဂၤလိပ္လိုသတိေပးတဲ့နည္း ၁၀ မ်ိဳးကိုဗဟုသုတရေစဖုိ႔ အသံုးျပဳတဲ့ situation အေျခအေနအလုိက္ ေဖၚျပလုိက္ပါတယ္။

  ဒီစကားကိုေတာ့ ကားေမာင္းျပီးသြားမယ့္သူက ိုလမ္းမွာနွင္းေတြဖံုးေနလို႔ သတိေပးျပီးေျပာတာပါ။ “icy” ေနရာမွာ “slippery” (ေခ်ာလုိ႔) ဆိုျပီးေျပာလို႔ရပါတယ္။ ဒါက အထူးသျဖင့္ လမ္းခြဲနႈတ္ဆက္တဲ့အခါ "good bye" နဲ႔ တြဲေျပာတာပါ။
  
  ၂။ Mind how you go
  
  “It was great seeing you. Mind how you go, the traffic is terrible on the motorway.”
  ဒါကေတာ့ “သတိထားသြားေနာ္” လို႔ ေျပာတာပါ။ အခုလို ကားေတြရႈပ္တဲ့ေခတ္မွာ ကားနဲ႔ ဘဲသြားသြား၊ ေျခလွ်င္ဘဲသြားသြား သတိရွိေနမွ ေတာ္ကာက်မွာမဟုတ္လား။ ဒါကိုလည္းလမ္းခြဲနႈတ္ဆက္တဲ့အခါ “good bye” နဲ႔ တြဲေျပာတယ္။
  
  ရုတ္တရက္ အႏာၱရာယ္ သတိေပးတဲ့အခါ
  
  ရုတ္တရက္ အႏာၱရာယ္ျဖစ္ေတာ့မယ္ဆိုရင္ ဒီလိုေျပာရတယ္။
  
  ၃။ Look out!
  
  “Look out! There’s a car coming.”
  
  ၄။ Watch out!
  
  “Watch out! The pavement is slippery.”
  
  ေျဖးေျဖးလုပ္ဖို႔ သတိေပးတဲ့အခါ
  
  ကြဲနုိင္တဲ့ ပစၥည္းေတြကို ေရႊ႕ေျပာင္း သယ္ယူတဲ့အခါ သယ္တဲ့ သူေတြကို ပစၥည္းေတြ မကြဲမရွေအာင္ သတိရွိရွိနဲ႔ သယ္ယူဖို႔ ဒီလုိေျပာျပီးေတာ့လည္း သတိေပးလို႔ ရပါတယ္။
  
  ၅။ Easy does it
  
  “Ok, you’re almost there, easy does it. That’s great. Thank you so much for helping me move the sofa.” ( “ေျဖးေျဖးလုပ္…..ေျဖးေျဖးလုပ္”ဟုတ္ျပီေပါ့။)
  
  ၆။ Steady
  
  “Steady! Are you sure you don’t want some help carrying your bags?” (“ေျဖးေျဖး…. ေျဖးေျဖး”)
  
  အရဲမစြန္႔ဖို႔ သတိေပးတဲ့အခါ
  
  တစ္ခ်ိဳ႕သူေတြက အရမ္း အရဲစြန္႔လြန္းရင္လဲ ကၽြန္ေတာ္တို႔ သတိေပးရပါတယ္။ အရမ္း အရဲစြန္႔တဲ့ သူေတြကို “risk junkies” လို႔ ေခၚပါတယ္။
  
  ၇။ Better safe than sorry
  
  "You should pack a couple of torches and some blankets for your journey. Better safe than sorry". (ဒီလိုလဲေျပာလို႔ရတယ္။ "it’s better to be safe than sorry.")
  
  ၈။ You can’t be too careful
  
  “I’ve locked all the doors and windows and padlocked the gate. You can’t be too careful these days.” (သတိဆိုတာပိုသည္မရွိ။)
  
  ၉။ Be careful
  
  “Are you going to walk through the park at this hour? Well, be careful. You never know who’s lurking in the park.” (သတိထားေနာ္။)

  အေပၚမွာေဖၚျပခဲ့တဲ့ သတိေပးစကားေတြ အျပင္ ေနာက္ထပ္လည္း အမ်ားၾကီးရွိနိင္ပါတယ္။ သူ႔ေနရာနဲ႔သူအံဝင္ေအာင္ သံုးနိုင္ေအာင္ ေလ့က်င့္ဖုိ႔ေတာ့ သတိ ေပးလုိက္မယ္ေနာ္။
