  • ဒီသင္ခန္းစာမွာေတာ့ ဧည့္သည္ရဲ႕ေတာင္းဆိုမႈေတြကို ေျဖရွင္းေဆာင္ရြက္ေပးရာမွာသံုးရတဲ့ အသံုးအႏႈန္းနဲ႔ေ၀ါဟာရေတြကိုေလ့လာၾကည့္ပါမယ္။
Unit 12 Dealing with requests (ေတာင္းဆိုမႈမ်ားကိုေျဖရွင္းေဆာင္ရြက္ေပးျခင္း)
I’ll get you some now

1.       Customer:     Can you order a taxi for room 245 please?
Staff   :        Yes sir, I’ll order you one now.
2.       Customer:     I’d like a glass of wine please.
Staff   :        Certainly, I’ll get you one right away.
3.       Customer:     Could we have some more bread?
Staff   :        Of course, I’ll get you some now.
4.       Customer:     Can you send a laundry service up to room 467, please ?
Staff   :        I’ll send someone up right away.
5.       Customer:     We’d like a table on the terrace.
Staff   :        I’ll see if there’s one free.
6.       Customer:     What time does the exchange bureau open?
Staff   :        One moment, I’ll check for you.
7.       Customer:     Excuse me, this glass is dirty.
Staff   :        I’m sorry, I’ll bring you another.

ေလ့လာထားရမည့္ expression မ်ား
I’ll get you right away.  ခ်က္ခ်င္းယူေပးပါ့မယ္။
I’ll see if there is one free. အားေနတဲ့တစ္ခုရွိလားၾကည့္ေပးပါ့မယ္။
One moment, I’ll check for you. ခဏေလးပါ။ ရွာေပး(စစ္ၾကည့္ေပး)ပါ့မယ္။
I’ll bring you another. ေနာက္တစ္ခုယူလာေပးပါ့မယ္။

ေလ့လာထားရမည့္ေ၀ါဟာရမ်ား
Advice = အႀကံဥာဏ္
Business traveller = စီးပြားေရးလုပ္ငန္းကိစၥႏွင့္လာေသာခရီးသည္
conversation = စကားေျပာ။ အခ်ီအခ်စကားေျပာ
cutlery = ဇြန္း၊ ခက္ရင္း၊ ဓား စသည့္ ထမင္းစားသည့္အခါလွီးျဖတ္ရန္အသံုးျပဳရသည့္ပစၥည္းမ်ား
delay  = ေႏွာင့္ေနးသည္။ ၾကန္႔ၾကာသည္။ ေနာက္က်သည္။
dirty = ညစ္ပတ္ေသာ
disabled = ကိုယ္အဂၤါခ်ိဳ႕တဲ့သူ
eye contact = မ်က္လံုးခ်င္းဆံုျခင္း
needs =(n)  လိုအပ္ခ်က္၊ လိုအင္ဆႏၵ
patient = (n)လူနာ (adj) စိတ္ရွည္ေသာ၊ သည္းခံေသာ
toiletries = အလွအပခ်ယ္ပစၥည္းမ်ား (ဆပ္ျပာ၊ ေခါင္းေလ်ာ္ရည္၊ ေခၽြးနံ႕ေပ်ာက္ေဆး၊ မ်က္ႏွာလိမ္းခရင္ စသည့္ပစၥည္းမ်ား)

ေတာ္ေတာ္မ်ားမ်ားမွားတတ္တာက advice နဲ႔ advise ပါ။ advice က noun ပါ။ အႀကံဥာဏ္။ အႀကံဥာဏ္ေပးျခင္း ဆိုတဲ့အဓိပၸါယ္ျဖစ္ၿပီး advise ကေတာ့ အႀကံေပးသည္လို႔အဓိပၸါယ္ရတဲ့ verb ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ ျမန္မာေက်ာင္းသားေတြက c နဲ႔ေပါင္းတာကို verb လို႔အမွတ္မွားမိတတ္ပါတယ္။ ေအာက္မွာေလ့လာၾကည့္ပါ။
Advice is a noun. It is a suggestion or recommendation. e.g.
  • His advice was sound and everyone listened to him.
  • I am seeking your advice because you are more experienced in such matters.
  • I turned down that bribe on your advice.
  • Take my advice and quit your day job to focus on your startup business.
Advise is a verb. It means "to give advice" and therefore refers to the act ofgiving advice. e.g.
  • I would advise you to submit your resignation in view of this scandal.
  • My lawyer has advised me to settle this matter out of court.
  • She has a strictly advisory role in this project.
  • I am advising three doctoral students for their thesis.

ေလ့က်င့္ထားရမည့္၀ါက်တည္ေဆာက္ပံုမ်ား
I’ll (I will) + Verb ပံုစံကို တစ္ခုခုကိုလုပ္ေပးမယ္၊ လုပ္လိုက္မယ္ဆိုတဲ့အဓိပၸါယ္နဲ႔ One, some, another, some more တြဲသံုးလို႔ရပါတယ္။ အဲဒီအခါမွာ ရည္ညြန္းတဲ့ နာမ္စား pronoun ကိုျပန္သံုးစရာမလိုဘဲ ခ်န္ထားခဲ့ႏိုင္ပါတယ္။
ဥပမာ-
A:      I’d like a map.
B:       I’ll get (you) one.
A:      I’d like some bread.
B:       I’ll bring (you) some. (ေပါင္မုန္႔ဟာေရတြက္လို႔မရတဲ့နာမ္ျဖစ္တဲ့အတြက္ some နဲ႔သံုးပါတယ္။)
A:      This spoon is dirty.
B:       I’ll get (you) another.
A:      There isn’t any bread left.
B:       I’ll order (you) some more.

ေလ့က်င့္ခန္း
၁။ ေအာက္ပါ ေတာင္းဆိုခ်က္မ်ားကို One, some, another, some more သံုး၍ဆီေလ်ာ္သလို တုန္႔ျပန္ပါ။
1.       Can I have an orange juice, please? (get / one)
2.       Our water jug is empty. (get / some)
3.       This bottle of wine is corked. (bring / another)
4.       Is the exchange bureau open? I need some change. (get / some)
5.       Could I have a beer, please? (get / one)
6.       My bath towel is very wet. (get / another)
7.       This fork is dirty. (bring/ another)
8.       There isn't enough soap in the bathroom. (bring / some more)

ေအာက္ပါတယ္လီဖုန္းစကားေျပာခန္းရွိ၀ါက်မ်ားကို အစဥ္လိုက္စီပါ။
a.       Reception:    I'll ask housekeeping to get you some more.
b.       Guest  :        We'd like a bottle of mineral water, two glasses and a selection of vegetarian
sandwiches. Thank you very much.
c.       Reception:    In 304? I'm very sorry. I'll speak to them straightaway.
d.       Guest  :        Thank you. One last thing. Can I order drinks and sandwiches from you?
e.  1   Reception     :        Reception. How can I help you?
f.        Guest  :        OK, I'll wait for housekeeping before I take a shower.
g.       Reception     :        Certainly. I'll send some toiletries up to our room.

၃။ ေအာက္ပါ the customer care code ကိုကြက္လပ္ျဖည့္ပါ။ ပေဟဠိအတြင္းမွာ မွာေရတြက္၍မရေသာ နာမ္ ေနာက္ထပ္ ခုထပ္ရွာပါ။

ေလ့က်င့္ခန္း ၁၊ အမွတ္ ၃ က This bottle of wine is corked. ဆိုတဲ့၀ါက်မွာ cork ဆိုတာပုလင္းဆို႔၊ ဗူးဆို႔ျဖစ္တယ္။ corked ဆိုေတာ့ passive အေနနဲ႔ ဆို႔ထားေသာ၊ ပိတ္ထားေသာဆိုတဲ့အဓိပၸါယ္။ ဒီေတာ့ ပုလင္းဟာအဆို႔ဆို႔ထားတယ္လို႔ ဘာသာျပန္ရင္ လြဲသြားႏိုင္တယ္။ wine မွာက်ေတာ့ corked ဆိုတာ အရသာပ်က္သြားေသာ၊ မေကာင္းေတာ့ေသာ spoiled ဆိုတဲ့အဓိပၸါယ္နဲ႔လည္းသံုးႏိုင္ပါတယ္။

ကိုယ္ကတုန္႔ျပန္ေျပာဆိုတဲ့အခါမွာ ေတာင္းဆိုမႈသည္ ဧည့္သည္၏အဆင္မေျပမႈတစ္ခုခု (ခက္ရင္းကညစ္ပတ္ေနတာ၊ ေရခ်ိဳးခန္းထဲဆပ္ျပာမရွိတာ မ်ိဳး) ဆိုရင္ အရင္ဆံုးေတာင္းပန္စကားေျပာဖို႔မေမ့ပါနဲ႔။
